Picked these up off of eBay, shipper sent them out with a quickness! I couldn't be happier with this assembly. Although, removing everything just to get to them installed was a crazy o_O but totally worth it!

    Retrofitting LEDs.

No more boring green color LEDs.

This mod makes the prius feels newer!

Thank you @Dylan Doxey for your hard work!

Slotted drilled rotors and pads! Next up, the same in the rear and a brake fluid change with some quality redline.

Which rotors/pads did you go with? How did the OEM perform for you on the autocross?

Interested to hear the same about the OEMs during autocross and which rotors you went with. Also, If I remember right, you have shocks and lowering springs, what are you wheel specs? Do you experience rubbing or did you trim/fender-roll?

Here's what I went with. Not expensive in the least for a set of four, with pads.

I haven't autocrossed it yet but I can already tell you with just the fronts it stops MUCH harder than the stock rotor and pads I had. The stock setup was pretty good but has room for improvement. I had about half of the stock pads left so I imagine they we're installed at the factory. Hopefully these better pads and rotors along with higher temp rated brake fluid will help.

For wheels I have CE28N's, with 215 tires. Zero rubbing issues even under HARD cornering. You can see in my autocross pictures I've had the car on three wheels with no issues. 8agf8ZS.jpg

Awesome pic man. Those black lids make the car looks like it's wearing eyeliner though. :D

Agreed, I ordered the wrong color! I've since swapped to white. IMG_20180129_143112415_HDR.jpg

Excellent find! Be interested to hear what you find out when you take it out on the track.

LMAO @ the eyeliner comment! @macmaster05

are they 18x7 or 8? Do you have a build thread?

18x7 for these, with a 2mm spacer in the back and a 2mm in the front. I need another 8mm of spacer to get it flush in the back but the studs aren't long enough. with 8mm of spacing I get about a two turns on the wheel nuts which isn't even close to for a safe ride, especially if I'm going to throw the car around.

My first event of the season will be the first weekend of next month. Last event I came in between two Corvettes, and beat two turbocharged cars. If anyone tells you the Prius can't autocross, they're lying!

I don't have a build thread, I didn't figure anyone would be interested. I suppose I could put one up!

    Nice upgrade!
The rotors look so small behind the wheels. I wish there was a swap out there with larger rotors and calipers from a different car that worked with our gen 3. I know about BBK but who wants to spend that much...

Awesome, wheel size and backspacing has been my ultimate battle... you clearly have functional modification happening so I think you've sold me on wheel size.. I would definitely be interested in a build thread and what you've learned with the different mods you've added. Suspension specifically, since we can't exactly make these things any faster.. Although you may have proved that wrong too! LOL!

And before anyone posts that a Prius will never be faster than a Corvette, I know I've posted it here before, but here it is again:

PS: The speed3, 2017 Golf were both turbocharged, and that Infinity G37 was pushing nearly 350 horsepower. Not bad for a car that "can't" go fast.

Nice! Looking forward to more feedback after your next autocross. You didn’t experience any warping on the OEM hardware with all the hard driving? I went on a short spirited canyon drive a couple years back, and after maybe 20 minutes of getting on the brakes and chasing another sports car, warped my front rotors with maybe 60k miles at the time. Got some brake fade and let it cool down before heading home. I was on 18” wheels at the time so I’m sure they were working extra hard lol. Since then, I’ve been pulse and gliding, trying not to use the brakes. There’s a bad steering wheel vibration if I brake semi-hard at freeway speeds. Finally ordered a set of Stoptech slotted rotors, Hawk pads, and Motul Fluid 40k miles later. I’m excited to swap everything out and hit the canyons again!

I don't think they were for sale when I purchased these six months ago, but if they were then I messed up! I'll likely replace these pads with EBC Red Stuff in a few months. It all depends on how they perform at the track. For right now, they're great on the street. Locks up the ABS with a hard press, instead of needed to stand on it with the stocks. Keeping in mind the stock rotors and pads I had on were nearly 100,000 miles old, so I can't compare new to new.

Build thread posted, building it now!
