Intake Manifold Gasket Prep

Can you post a close up photo of the new gasket?

Just curious what you paid for the gasket? List price from toyota is $225 (ridiculous)

Btw, the their is a maximum warpage spec on the manifold of 0.0039.

I have access to factory service info, but for some ODD reason. I was not able to find any procedures or torque specs for the intake manifold installation.

Exhaust, yes
Head, yes
Intake, no
Throttle assembly, yes

Weird.

I would not put anything on that gasket.

Correction: intake gasket $7.20 from toyota

The $225 was the manifold itself.

The Beaded steel gasket is not meant to have any other compound on it.

Perhaps @Elektroingenieur can locate the torque specification.

 

I dug pretty deep, nothing is listed for Intake to cylinder head. I found the stud installation driving torque of 7.1 ftlb. It likely just falls under general torque specifications for the stud size class and thread pitch in combination with nut classification.

I don’t know the stud size. M6 x 1.00 or M8 x 1.25
