I've got a couple interesting things coming up.

I've been leaving to work on time reducing the need for aggressive driving. My current tank shows 57MPG after 300 miles. It should be my best tank yet.

Also I've got a road trip coming up next week so there will be basically one whole tank that is pretty much all highway driving.

    Excellent MPG!

How many total miles do you have on the unit?

Also, what are your weather temps like now?

I'll check the OD. There is a kinda hard to find button to switch between trip and OD mode. Around 3K I think.

The temps have been all over the place from as warm as 72F to below freezing. In fact we had that all happen in one day! Temps dropped like a rock. Typically perhaps as warm as mid sixties going to work and maybe low fifties coming home but it has been all over the place. The warmer temps help but so does the less aggressive driving on the trip to work.

Today was very weird. The car did fantastic on the way to work, 64.9 MPG displayed! I'm not sure if this was a result of abnormal wind direction or battery SOC but the results were impressive.

By the time I came home the temps had plummeted to just above freezing and it was raining so the front defog needed to be on. Might have also had an abnormal headwind. My return trip home netted one of the worst results yet at 46.6 MPG.

I've had trips as low as perhaps 31 MPG on the way to work driving aggressively but my slower return trips home usually always break 50 MPG.

BTW it took me a while to find the trip/OD button because it is a bit hidden behind the wheel. This even after finding the location in the owner's manual. Got it all sorted out now thanks.

I find temperature has a large impact on mpg in my Prius.

Same on the 2016, and also the 2013 Sonic. It has probably been kept the same by some because that is were the old mechanical one was at.

Got a new complaint. When the sun was lower in the sky the hood had horrible reflections. As the sun has move higher in the sky this problem disappeared and for a while all was good. The sun is higher still and now it reflects off all the shiny things on the dash. My old car had none of this. I like the way the interior of the Camry looks but man it sure sparkles in the sun.

I've found not cleaning the car helps with that.

Today was a good day for MPGs. Made 3 trips in the usual Work, Wal-Mart, Home fashion. Each trip registered over 60 MPGs on the display. The recent bout of cold weather (including a little late season snow) had the tank average under the earlier reported 57 MPG. Today's driving put me back over 57 MPG displayed for the tank so far.

Only 1 out of 12 exceeds EPA. I suspect that is a new one on its first tank. That tank does not appear in the top chart so was considered an outlier.

163mpg was probably an error in inputting the data.
