Dears i need your help because my car 2010 (155000 KM)
Consume 20 litres each 300 KM
Even i changed the PCV valve and clean the air filter and clean EGR pipe and changed the oil to (10W -30 ) and changed spark plugs ..
What else should i check to ensure best consumption with it..thanks in advance..

Changing oil to 10-30 will will hurt the fuel consumption a little not improve it.
If my calculation are correct 35mpg its kinda bad even myself during winter I can do like 43MPG.
Might be your traction battery getting old and doesn't hold charge well.

You can test it just by looking at the battery bars when they are full try just to use battery mode and see how long they last.

And I also felt that the oil was heavy on the motor ..regarding to testing battery...
It's depending on road conditions and using AC .. how should i test it will..To know if its old or not..?or there is other reasons...
    Thanks in advance

When engine is hot and you have full bars the EV mode should have range of 1.25 mile or 2km I think but I never test like this.

Just to state the obvious, assume it's gasoline we're talking about. Yeah, that translates to 6.7 liters per 100 km, and 35 miles per gallon (US). That is well above the median but not unheard of. Fuelly stats for 2010:

    upload_2018-4-23_11-39-30.png

For a bit more info: what kind of driving? High speed, short trips, constant AC use could all contribute to high gas consumption.

Also, any recent rear brake job? Misassemble of the rear brakes can cause drag; you could feel the wheels after an extended drive, see if any feel hot. Normally they would only be very slightly warm, at most.

Is this a recent change in fuel consumption, it was better in past?

I wouldn't call 10W30 too heavy of an oil, for Jordan.

This have nothing to do with fuel consumption. I did all cleaning of EGR intake manifold install new spark plugs and Oil catch can but my MPG stay almost the same.
Only difference I noticed is silky smooth engine specially in cold mornings.
But checking brakes is a good idea specialy if you have cold salty winters. Check specialy rear brakes pads if they are wearing even because those guide pins tend to stuck.

20l per 300km means 6.67/100 (35 mpg). It's not too high and I don't think the engine is worn out. Test the oxygen (lambda), MAF and temperature sensors if they give correct data and if the oxygen sensor reacts quickly. Yup, the voltage MUST change VERY quickly.

Or might be something small as tire pressure or bad alignment. Try get front 40psi and 38psi back. In Europe might be 2.75bar front 2.62 back.

could be a weak hybrid battery from the heat, check the 12v health and cabin filter.

    are you running LRR tires?

Still, check by feeling the wheels after a drive, looking for any that are markedly hotter, which would indicate dragging brakes.

Connect an OBD adapter and check the live data (parameters) of those sensors. The O2 sensor gives voltage in range 0-1 volts OR 2-4 (0-5) volts, but I doubt the Prius uses wideband sensor. When the sensor is hot enough, it's output must change quickly, this means it works fast enough (it's critical to the correct air-fuel mixture ratio). There are a lot of youtube videos about O2 sensors and how to test them.
