I have a 2006 Gen2 Prius (271K miles), for about 5 years. Since last summer, the fuel economy become worse, from annual 46 MPG to Winter 30 MPG & Spring 36MPG. I noticed there is some grinding noise that the sound volume grow with car speed.

Today I lift each side front wheels, and I'm able to identify the noise come from left front wheel.

What this noise it is? (I believe it is not bearing noise, as I have replaced both front bearing in recent years.)

    The sound Video:

    Right front wheel Lift (Good):

    Left front wheel Lift (Noisy):

I sure hope so. He had one front wheel off the ground so it would rotate. ;)
