    Do This On A Front Wheel Drive Chassis ?

    No.

    Only a 5x100 bolt pattern will work on a prime. (#4 on my list)
    If you look at my above wheel Double bolt pattern, you'll notice that it has 10 total cut holes. The inner
    set of holes are 5x100 & the outer set is 5x114.3, as you can imagine the outer set of 5x114.3 would never line up.

    Do you like any of these ?

    Compared to your existing stock OE wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 1.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 11.4mm less than before.

    Hey everyone just wanted to get some answers, since im a bit confused. I am looking into getting some rims and was wondering if my stock tires will fit. The rim is 15x6 5x100 with +45 offset. The stock tires on the prime is P195/65R15. Will i need to get spacers to make the offset back to 40 and will i need hub centric rings? i believe the bore is 73mm

    1) Re-read post #30 & 31, it directly applies to your question.

    2) Spacers: you don't "need" them, but you might want them because your new wheels will look like they're sitting
    more inbound / inward by about ~11mm's. A spacer will get you closer to the look of a stock OE configuration.

    3) Hub Rings: Yes, buy a set of hubcentric rings. First determine what the hub bore is on your new wheels, 95% says they're
    the more common 73.1mm & 5% says they're the less common 73.0mm.

    What type of wheel spacers do you recommend? I would like the offset to be back at 40

    If you get it right, no. If you screw it up, yes.

    As long as you re-install them correctly on your new wheels, your Prime shouldn't know the difference....


    EDIT: I personally always re-install the TPMS units on the SAME corners that they came off of. So mark your OE wheels with LF, RF, LR, RR.

    i called a shop today and they told me i will have problems with the studs if i use the 5mm spacer. they said the most i can do is 3mm. Is that true?

    This is much more a question about "Their" liability once you leave their shop. Some shops won't install spacers at all.

    The key to all of this is.... You need about ~6.5 rotations (turns) of lug nut engagement as your minimum, more turns would be
    considered a plus.

    If you remove one tire you can easily mock this up yourself, just install a stack of washers that simulate ~5mm's of space in
    a triangle pattern on 3 wheel studs. Then re-fit your stock OE wheel & finger tighten* those 3 lug nuts to see if you have at least
    6 tuns of engagement, as long as you do you're good to go.
