I Just cleaned out the EGR Valve following the Nutz and Boltz video. Everything went very smooth and had no issues. Got everything cleaned up and back together. Turned the car on and now the check engine light is on.

Any ideas what could cause the check engine light to go on from an EGR Valve cleaning?

Yup! I forgot to reconnect it.

However, I reconnected it, took it for a test ride and it felt fine, but, check engine light is still on.

Just disconnected the battery, will see if that resets the check engine light. I don't have an OBD-II reader at the moment

Check engine light cleared! I'll have to drive it a bit to see if it comes back on, but, thank god! I was worried for a bit there.

It can take 4~5 start ups to clear it. That was my experience, with disconnected MAP sensor.

Actually @Tariq87 with the diagnosis of the issue;).

I would have guessed anything in the air delivery system as there couldnhave also been a gross leak, like forgetting to connect the PCV hose:rolleyes:.

But at least it is sorted(y).

remember when disconnecting the 12v battery , if you have a battery tender , hook it up under the hood , the positive terminal is in the fuse box under the red cover , negative goes to any metal , reason you do this is you won't "lose" and setting you have set up in your car such as your radio stations
