Thinking of buying this. I am in California, so the battery has another 8 months I think. Is it worth it? Checked it with obd2 scanner, no codes showed up, engine sounds fine. No rust that I was aware of, no leaks. You think battery issues will come up? Thanks all.

seems too good. are you positive of no accidents?

tough call on the battery, not driven much, but you never know. at that price, 2k for a new battery doesn't look awful

nice. if she returns 50 mpg on a good long drive, and you're satisfied with everything, i'd say go for it

Ok, thanks. I'm guessing the only issue might be the battery, which I'm thinking would at least give me 8 months left. I went to a toyota dealer in Oakland, CA, all the sales people said 8 years/100,000, I'm like are you sure? They're like wait till the service department opens tommorow. I'm like, lol, what?

The Prius C you mean? Sorry, new to the forums and Prius in general, don't know all the right acronyms yet lol. As of now, for me, no more 20 mpg cars! or 30 mpg cars for that matter.

It’s 10/150,000 in California. You would think the dealer would know that. What about the brake actuator? Has it been replaced? That and the battery are the 2 big ticket items.

I don’t think the brake actuator has been replaced. It looks and feels good all around when I drove it. Says it belonged to his aunt, now he wants to get rid of it after owning it for about 8 months. Definetely feels like it was owned by an old lady. So don’t know how to react to this, considering I keep hearing that Prius are meant to be driven a lot.

It was a warranty extension. They didn’t do that out of the goodness of their heart. They lost in court, just like the warranty extension on the frame of my 2005 Tacoma. It’s a problem. If you look here rather than listen to some you can form an opinion.

    I’m not surprised ;).

Don’t forget you know they’re lying when their lips are moving:p.

    10/150 as others have said:).

If the battery goes out, you’ve got a low mileage Gen2 that will last a long time(y).

So why does Bisco throw out wrong information?
Guy doesn’t own a gen 2 and lives in the East.

He mentioned the “c” which is 8/100;).

It’s a different vehicle class, so it’s warranty is different. Our 2017 Lexus RX450h has an 8/100:cool:.

But the wife loves it, so it works for me(y).

Thanks for cleaning that up. Your opinion I trust. Others, not so much. ;)
