Is the filter clogged (or the vent covered?

Not sure if you've got the EURO Manual or a specific UK version - this is the EURO:

TOYOTA also advise some more information:

It's the one on the Driver's Side of the front of the back seat - check that you haven't got something on the floor or hanging over the edge of the seat (like a dog blanket, children's schoolbags?) which are covering it. There's another in the middle - which seems not to be so critical, but I keep it uncovered too.

They only suggest the corner one is the one to watch and there's a filter behind the grille. I got mine off easily to check, with a bit of fiddling but the filter was like new.

Found this also in Owner's Manual:

I would take a crack at cleaning the filter yourself.

Good news - I'd guess you shouldn't see that again. How many miles have you done?

It could be worth a diary entry to do it again - maybe twice as often. My suspicion it will run more efficiently if the filter is clean.

I checked mine at about 30,000km and it was clean as the proverbial whistle. But then, my dogs are non-shedding (and only occasionally in as passengers); I rarely have passengers in the car (hopefully non-shedding too), always have A/C on.

If the message doesn't go away, unhook the 12 volt battery for a few minutes.

I think cleaning the filter should have done it - better than disconnecting the 12 volt if not necessary.

There's some browser add-on doing that, I forget what it's called.

I'm fairly sure I've seen APPLE mentioned in the same place.

When I first accessed priuschat on a newly acquired smart phone (with its regular browser) I got a pop up suggestion to install tapatalk. I tried it, saw no advantages over the regular browser, quit with it.

But who knows, might depend on the phone.

    Sent with an iPhone

When I bought a new laptop a couple of months ago, DELL took ages setting it up - it thought that I'd certainly want voice commands, SKYPE and all sorts of other things which I'd not heard of - and couldn't see the sense of.

But - it didn't bother setting up the scanner and printers which were plugged in - no, the useful things, I had to do myself.
