According to Car and Driver, Toyota has announces a half dozen new EV vehicles to be launched between 2020 and 2025.

See the full story here: Toyota Details Six New EV Models Launching for 2020–2025

Car and Driver says: "Global markets such as the U.S., Europe, and China will start to see those six electric cars Toyota is promising by 2020. They'll likely appear in China first before being sent to the U.S. and elsewhere later."

Two years ago, Toyota announced ambitious plans to roll out a family of new electric vehicles by 2025. This new announcement moves up that schedule, presumably in response to accelerating global demand for EVs.

Part of it is supply. Being able to build new chemistry batteries at high volume makes that possible.

Nothing in that lineup to excite me, all SUV's or bigger.

If one is a PHEV version of the discontinued Crossover Toyota Venza I’ll put an order in today. Needs to be an AWD though.

Not my cup of tea, but have you looked and the Subaru Crosstrek, it sounds about like what you want, and I really like Subaru.

Did this report contain useful information? I just read it again, but somehow I seem to be missing the information that really matters: Range, cost, charging speed, battery-cooling means, driving performance... Presumably I’m just missing it?
