    No, I see it.

You need to turn off all ad blockers & filters, if I leave my ad blockers on, I can't see it either.

Adapters are NOT the same as EVSEs. Those prices are reasonable for DIY ADAPTERS.

    I know that.
Did you see I post a link to a EVSE on amazon for $200?

Found a volt portable L1 at a garage sale & picked it up for dirt. Made up an adapter real quick & boom shakalaka - it works. It got warmer than my comfort, not even looking like it's 12 gauge wire.

My brand new one has the same specs printed on it. I suspect that is the maximum factory rating for the plug itself, which is more or less an off the shelf plug.

One bit of strong evidence here is that no one has come forward saying that they did this and their EVSE fried or exploded. I’m sure that if this happened to anyone they’ll be the first to post about it.

one very serious caveat here. Just because these EVSE's are capable of sending 3.6kW's to our plugin's on-board Chargers, do NOT attempt to use these modified EVSE's on plugin's that pull more ... 6.6kW's-10kW's. Pulling 30 amps on 12 gauge wire is a guaranteed recipe for disaster.

    NOPE.

I've tested the OE Toyota EVSE and another automakers OE EVSE (both at 240v) on a bigger battery EV car that is designed to take a 32 Amp EVSE, both OE 120 volt units only put out ~12 amps as they are designed to do through their 12 AWG cord.

12 Amps is the maximum that any of these OE 120v EVSE units will output,....Period.

The Prius EVSE specifies the wires it has inside, one 12 AWG and two 14 AWG.

As I understand it, 14 AWG supports up to 15A while 12 AWG supports up to 20A.

Will the EV Doubler 120V product work when the two 120V plugs are being fed by the same wiring? I have a patio with an outdoor AC outlet with 2 sockets. These seem like they are meant to be outdoor -- they have caps. Can I combine the feeds from them safely and feed the standard Prius level 1 charger? This is one of the other products that the original Amazon link connects to.

Nope, they will not work when fed from the same wiring/circuit.

You use that device by plugging it into a 240V receptacle. The you plug your "120V" EVSE into it. Looks at the plugs; that's the only way it can work.

Hello, and welcome to PriusChat !

Can you please take a high quality close up picture of the label/sticker on your Toyota EVSE unit and post it up here.
