Yes, about 90% of the way from low mark to full mark in my experience.
4.2 litre rounds to 4.4 quarts, not 4.5. I'm careful not to overfill.

On a new car on which I have not yet changed oil, I look in the manual for the volume then I short fill by about 1/2 quart. After that settles out, I see where it is on the stick and make the adjustment. Then I note the final amount, write that down and put that amount in each time.

Would these be the same car makers that bother to print "Do Not Overfill" in the owners manual?
Am I suppose to gamble on at which point overfilled goes from being harmless to harmful?

That's why I think if you embrace an approach to the matter, I think it's better to simply say...do not overfill as opposed to saying...a few ounces overfilled won't hurt anything.

    Whatever works for YOU.
The manufacturer is covering his own tail, mostly for legal warranty disputes.
What he is saying is the right thing to accomplish their objectives.

All right guys.. I drain my overfilled oil and luckily nothing happen on this overfilled.

I was on Toyota Dealer this morning for an Inverter Software Upgrade Recall and I asked them what's my warranty on HV battery and need to inspect? (The Answer is : NO Engine Light up, No need to check.) They offer me for Brake Pad replace for $55 and License plate light burn out replace for $45.

Oh my lord don't go for that. Up here the bulbs are around $2 (CDN), and the swap is:

    1. open hatch.
    2. pop out the access hatch panel (there's one on each side, for left/right bulbs)
    3. twist bulb connector counterclockwise, remove old bulb
    4. insert new bulb into connector (try to keep your fingers off it, or wipe it clean with isopropanol)
    5. insert connector and twist clockwise
    6. reinstall access hatch panel

I would tell them yes replace pads on all 4 wheels and no charge for labor $55 + tax out the door. And for plate lights, I would tell them, no getting a ticket for dead plate lights is cheaper than paying $45 for bulb replacement. They would then stop going over the list of recommended services.

I bought the assemblies in the attached picture 18 months ago off Wish.com. I have to say that they still work as they did on day 1 and they were worth every penny in my opinion. They are probably overkill when it comes to illumination on the plate but the illumination also helps with rear vision on the back up camera as well, due to the angle the leds are aimed at.

I hit the wrong button. LoL. Typing with left thumb and right index finger on the lifeinvader device isn’t as easy as it seems.

Is that the same stuff that was labelled "Asian Formula" not long ago? If so, it is OK.

    Hello everyone...

Cleaning my ERG pipe and Throttle body today.. I see more than 1 table spoon of oil under the throttle body and ERG pipe has built up some junk in.

ER pipe built up junk carbon is normal on this 2013 model and possible on rest of ERG system.
Throttle body has 1 table spoon oil.

Only has 94000 miles on this 2013 prius.. got 51 miles per gallon with gamma drive.

I hope it not oil overfill on last time cause oil over filled.

Since I went on that far, I want to take off the manifold and clean it. Should I change the PCV valve too? Don't want to do it again later on.

    What's the PCV valve do?

With the intake manifold off is the best time to do the PCV valve;).

Best access you could want for the job:).

PCV recycles the crank case gases back to the front (think of it as a relief valve if the pressure gets high). I changed the one in our old 2010 around 120 k miles even though it still rattled when shaken:cool:.

    It’s cheap insurance (y).

Controls flow of vapors and gases (mixture of blowby fumes, air, oil mist, and volatile components of oil) from upper part of crankcase to intake manifold.
