It’s less taken apart then it was the last time you posted. So, yes, this is progress.

Engine is in. I attached a photo of hardware I don't know the home for. I believe they are all related to the trans. The 2012 damper was a little different but I put it in anyways...

As long as the damper fit the flywheel, and the splines on the transaxle shaft, and the shaft is in the damper, I think you will be fine.

I would, before attempting to start it, get all hooked up, then with front wheels off the ground, power button twice, shift to neutral, and spin the crankshaft pulley with a socket. If the wheels turn, that verifies crank is connected to transaxle thru damper.

Or you can just put it back together and go for it.

The I dents on the outside rim of the damper went the opposite direction. Originally it indented towards the fly wheel indents. The new one did not. It's all bolted up so I have to assume it connected

Btw. How much does used engines cost at USA?
I looked local used engines and for example found 2015 gen 3 with ~30k miles for 1500€, inverter 500€ and HV battery 1000€ from same wrecked car. Seems that there is no need here for those, since i think those are sold quite nice price.

That’s a relief. I was going to be upset if it didn’t run after all of that.

You're telling me. It was spinning over and not starting at all and making a horrible noise. I figured it was the different plate or something. I made a post here saying it didn't work. I'm done. Lol. Then about ten minutes later I tried it again to record the noise and it ran quiet as can be. That is why my all is well post was edited. Drives nice too

If I remember correctly, You sort of gambled on the purchase of the car.. After it is all done now, do you feel it was worth it?

100 problem free miles so far. Although at about 25 mph I have a rotational noise that resembles poorly worn tires or bad wheel bearing

Hey I am having the exact same issue I changed the trans due to the damper being broken.
When I came to start it turns the motor but immediately dies.

    Any ideas?

Something is wrong with your engine... In a regular gas-powered car this problem would show up as turning over the starter and the engine never firing up. The Prius is different in that the engine is being turned by the electric motor at a much higher speed to start it, but it won't start, so the motor doesn't really die, because it never was started in the first place.

You should have codes stored since the engine is spinning but not starting. The obvious question is how much fuel does the gauge show. If it’s at one bar, or flashing, you need to add at least 3 gallons and try again.

If you have more then 2 bars, or adding fuel doesn’t fix it, the crank sensor or cam sensor, or the fuel pump has failed. There would be codes stored for the sensors.

Only code is p0335 crank and cam sensors changed.

Gas Over half full and the fuel pump is working fine I disconnected the line and upon ignition it shoots up strong.
