Purchased 2019 Prius Prime Premium last week with Softex seats. I do very long commutes in Southern California and am getting very sweaty after 2 hour drives with AC on (I am average height and weight) , the seats are not very breathable, Are there any seat covers that would remediate this issues?

It's odd that way. Normally I'm the sweaty guy in the family, but those softex seats make my wife sweat while I can drive all day w/o sweating. I like 'em!! I tried some seat covers that were supposed to allow airflow, but they didn't help. I'll ask her if she wants to take a chance on the Coverkings. Thanks, @Salamander_King.

    Thanks.

After having these through a hot summer and a drive around the desert south-west, I can still say they completely solved the hot and slippery Softex problems.

If I ever want a car that isn't available with cloth seats, I'll order these before I take delivery. Living without them for as long as I did was miserable.

Yeah now that I have the SofTex seats and am using the car regularly in the summer, they're not as good as advertised (They're fine in the winter imo.. they are warmer than leather... same as the steering wheel) but in the summer, they do not let me perspire properly.

I'd like Toyota to offer other types of upholstery with the next gen Prius.... premium cloth (actual premium cloth... not whatever Toyota called "premium cloth" on the Corolla LE which looked the same as the basic cloth in the Corolla CE) or maybe cloth/wool blend or alcantara/SofTex blend.

I may be the outlier, but I haven't found the Softex seats to be uncomfortable in summer.

I love them and I'm the guy with the AC on when it's in the 70's. They are also easy to keep clean.

Same here, but they sure do make some people all hot and sweaty. She won't say it out loud, but I'm pretty sure my wife refers to me in her mind as "Captain Oblivious."

Our other car, Pathfinder Hybrid, has real leather seats. They are perforated and both driver and front passenger seats are heated and cooled. Even with both heat and cool, I still hate leather even more than Softex without cool on PRIME. I prefer the cloth seat in most any climate condition. I have not purchased seat cover for neither of the vehicles yet, but eventually I want to. One concern I had when I was looking for the seat cover for PRIME is that the functionality of some airbags maybe compromised that are inside of the seat. Toyota recommends not to use any type of seat cover that is not approved by Toyota, but I really don't know how serious the problem is.

It that on moon stone's white area? So far my all black Softex is holding up resisting any noticeable stains.

Yeah, I would never want White anything in my car including exterior color. So hard to keep it clean.

Well, the white softex was WAY too hot even in the winter, so I would probably have returned the car if I had got black. Or, maybe it would have encouraged me to get the seat covers sooner.

Really? Mine gets cold as an ice in winter, but I don't think I have ever felt it was too hot to touch even in summer parked under the sun for hours.

The white (actually Blizzard Pearl, need to mention that name since it was an extra few hundred $$) is no more difficult to keep clean than darker colors and doesn't show a whole lot of dirt. Light dust and dirt will stick out on a darker car, but not a white car. In the winter, they all look dirty.

It's the perception. Even with the same amount of dirt, white looks dirtier to me than gray which I have. Oh, in winter, my Magnetic Gray turns White! LOL
