I think the most difficult part will be the order number.

No if it has never been installed and hasn't been sitting around for 3 years not charging or something, I will take it back. It would be the first return for a reason that's not (a) car got totaled before delivery or (b) decided to sell the car and not install new battery. You pay to ship it back, you get $1400 back refunded to your original purchase media like the card you used. This is a first I am hearing of this and we specifically test capacity multiple times and end to end loading on modules at the factory.

I'd be curious what your load testing and capacity testing are. Because all of our calibrated equipment shows them to test above 6.5Ah a piece, which is exactly what we design for. The final piece of test equipment to get those numbers is a Keithley battery simulator and tester, purpose built for testing batteries to 6 digits of accuracy.

Discharge capacity for the first versions. Over 6.5Ah just as specified. Our newer versions are actually slightly higher capacity and lower internal resistance than the first generation (beta testing) and then again from the Version-2 kits.

If this is the only bad review, then my confidence in my purchase has not waned.

Do you have any apps that you can use to monitor the battery parameters? It would be interesting to see what the car is giving you for charge and discharge limits for the battery.

As a 3rd party viewer, and essentially a lifetime auto DIYer, I have to agree that your symptoms do not make sense to be a battery issue. Even a well used battery at 10% capacity will still go hammer down full speed 108 mph. The battery should be providing very little energy once the car is up to speed. The Atkinson cycle engine is very low torque at low rpm and has difficulty getting the car moving from a standstill, but once she's rolling that little engine will get it done. You have something else going on if your car can't maintain speed or drains the battery when at speed.

It takes air, fuel, ignition and an exhaust path. One of those isn't where it needs to be.

    @2k1Toaster

I would be happy to be a third party tester if desired.

I sent you a PM as I can't find your order so I have asked for more identifying information so I can see what's going on. But you two are the only two people who have ever said you've had negative experiences. The only negative feedback we get is from instructions. Some people say they are the worst instructions in the world. We get more people that say the instructions were crystal clear and recommend our instructions as a general disassembly guide and how it was so easy to just follow step by step. So... I don't know. But the only consistently negative feedback I have received is on the instructions and we always try to answer questions quickly and send pictures which seem to help.

In scottie1134's case, it is not the battery. This is obvious to anyone who claims to be a Toyota certified tech as he does.

If NortTexSalv04Prius's battery fails spec testing when new, we will replace it. This was from 9-10 months ago and I have not heard anything about it until this week. You are still in warranty but I am curious how you come to your testing conclusions and want to get to the bottom of it. If you're using lab equipment that's very different than the Dr. Prius app or running the defroster with an egg timer (no joke, had someone try to tell me original battery capacity by this method completely ignoring other car drains).

Well if it hasn't sat, and hasn't been used, I don't understand what state it is in. I still don't know your order number. Also still don't know what the problem is.

If it is not used and has not been sitting then it can be returned. How you've done this for 9 months I don't know and am now skeptical. I figured you had recently ordered it, not a year ago. I still don't know your order number. If you have a problem that is under warranty then you get a warranty replacement. But I still don't know your problem.

It is very unusual to sit on a product for almost a year without complaint and then try and return it. You can also email me if you'd prefer.

Doesn’t he pretty much say he used them in this post, or am I reading it wrong?

You mentioned that you have techstream. Would you post a photo or screen capture of the hybrid battery live screen? It would be interesting to see the information displayed. We could definitely fill in some gaps.

You're welcome to ship it there but we have a no refunds policy. Period. So you won't receive any money back.

I make exceptions when there are problems out of a customer's control like a wrecked vehicle or something else. We have a warranty. If your pack is installed and throw a code, you'd be the first. But we'd start a warranty claim. I am still unsure if your pack is new and unused or used. That dictates warranty or goodwill return (no obligation) or nothing.

Your transaction ID is what I am guessing that number is. Has absolutely nothing to do with our store. It's made randomly as a payment processing. We don't process payments. Our order system is based on a 3 or 4 digit number. For standard web orders your's will be a number between 100 and 9999 that's unique to you.

I still have not received an order number. A name. An email address. Or what the problem is.

@NortTexSalv04Prius, can I suggest you stop using a public forum to conduct your private business.

Please use the contact details of newpriusbatteries.com and email them directly with all the information that that business requires in order to help sort your problem.

I don't know what you hope to achieve by conducting your business in public, except to highlight a shortcoming of business acumen.

    Many thanks.

Maybe that transaction number is from Alibaba. The device is something that sort of looks like the real thing, but isn't. It must be producing under 3Ah to deliver such poor performance.

@scottie1134 Try to run injector cleaner, and also take out the air Mass flow sensor and clean it, I think that maybe the issue.
It could also clogged catalytic converter.
