I was going to start the car as usual this morning. My foot was on the brake, I press the power button, the dashboard showed all kinds of warning signs. The doesn't start. It only goes to neutral and the P position request light flashes and car beeps. I replaced the 12v battery and it didn't solve the problem. Any experience on this and what else I can try. Why does it act

In my experience, this type of display is an artifact of a depleted 12V. Some load probably inadvertently left on overnight.

Remove the replacement 12V, make sure it is fully charged, wait at least 15 minutes for any retained potential to dissipate, then reinstall the fully charged 12V.

If that is unsuccessful, try the Emergency Start procedure explained in another similar thread.

It is with considerable recommendation that the trouble codes be read with tech stream Toyota diagnostic software

Short of full-blown techstream, something like Dr Prius app and a carista bluetooth adapter will also read codes. Maybe not as complete, just rudimentary. Or a generic code reader.

I have the Kiwi2 and it works well:).

It just doesn't pull what a J2534 protocol harness paired with tech stream does;).

But good luck to the OP(y).

unfortunately I have version 10 and now our cars are too new and in need to upgrade:cool:.

From what I saw on version 13 it left a lot to be desired:(.

But I'll figure it out as having techstream is the right tool to have for the DIY type(y).
