Curious what it costs. My 5568x (last digit falls off on the right-hand-side of the pic, the fan-opening-part on the right side of the radio) is broken due to previous owner cutting a hole for his carkit. I think it was something like 270 euro's (~300$) for that piece alone.

Suddenly the crack and the hole don't bother me anymore...

Thanks! I think that is the correcct one.

I bought some spare part for the Prius once and was baffled by the low price (unfortunately I forgot what, maybe the lock on the fake boot-floor?), so I had expected the trim piece to be something like 50euro's max new.

59euro is not too bad, but I'll hit the local junkyards first. I drilled a hole in the sidepanel of the boot for a plug to charge the HV battery, but I have since changed plans, so getting such an extra panel would be nice too.

 

How do you (plan to) charge your HV battery?

Try removing it and spraying with black Plasti-Dip. It gives a slightly textured, satin finish, not bad.

 

I managed to dig up some example pics, so anyhoo:

 

I was going to rectify all nine different AC voltages on a massive toroid transformer and then series wire my powersupplies with currentlimit. This would allow me to charge from 50 to 250V with a currentlimit of e.g. 300mA (I would have to rewire after every 50V increment but I would be able to charge with up to 4A).

But then I bought a PowerPac 1000. It is a 5V-1000V 500mA adjustable powersupply with a currentlimit. Charging will be slow, but fully controlable.
