I bought this car used few months back. It was driven 150,000 Kms. I changed all necessary parts such as: Fuel filter/pump assembly, oil/air filter, transmission oil, engine oil & spark plugs. Got my car scanned and no error codes were found. As soon as I got the transmission oil changed, my car developed a rattling noise at start up (in morning) and sometimes at low rpm during drive. I observed that this rattling noise was mostly audible when the hybrid battery was depleted and engine converted to petrol. I read some articles on internet and changed set of ignition coils, cleaned EGR pipe, throttle and hybrid battery cooling fan myself at home.
The rattling noise is still there and I don't know what to do. Please share any solution which may help.

I don't know if it's related to your rattle noise (I'm still relatively new around here), but consider cleaning the intake manifold, the EGR cooler, and the EGR valve

I have a rattle whenever the ICE first starts and stops. I cleaned everything associated with the EGR and it did not solve my problem. I am currently at a loss. I'm thinking the EGR valve may just be bad.

Have you installed an oil catch can?

Thank you for sharing your experience, you might want to try to change the ignition coils, may be that'll help in your situation

Here's some light reading in the Gen3 section on the topic:):

Oil Catch Can, Eliminate that knock!

That should be able to answer your curiousity and give you some background;).

I put one on our old 2010 and also on our 2019 Prime as a preventative measure(y).

I'm not going to throw parts at it willy nilly. I'm actually going to try unplugging the EGR valve temporarily to see if the sound goes away.
