I would definitely call the other options and ask about 1) A repair to your batteries specific code and optionally 2) A battery swap with full battery warranty.

With this shop, you should at least get a warranty on the swap battery without paying more. A couple of years would be reasonable. The warranty is really what you are paying for when you let them swap your battery assembly. They are just going to clean yours up and sell it again. It appears they are actually selling a service contract on future battery, inverter and pump problems. At $300 a year.

Depends some on how long you want to keep it. Short term, then a service contract by the month might be ok. Four or five years, $300 a year adds up.

If that's the case I would honestly get a new one from the dealership. I don't think any other recycled or refurbished solution would last nearly that long. The peace of mind of not having to worry about it would be worth it, IMO.

Though I would call around and ask to speak to a supervisor or some higher-up about your recently expired warranty. It won't hurt to escalate your case since it's what, a week out of warranty?

They Said The Battery Can Be Replaced Under Warranty Because The Car Was Bought On December 14 2010 Because Of It Hasn’t Hit The 121 Month Yet According To The Vin Number And They Can Add A Warranty To The Battery 72 Months. For some reason my dealership said that warranty was expired

Amazing! The dealership person was probably being a lazy bum. When mine was replaced, I recall my dealership person casually mentioning how there was a lot of paperwork involved in getting Toyota to reimburse them for the parts and labor. Thankfully I didn't any issues though.

Did you buy the car used? Did Toyota still give you a new battery?

First thought is somebody rebuilt the battery which is why I asked if you bought it used. Maybe there is a miscommunication about gen1 cells in a gen3 battery assembly.

How there can be miscommunication when the battery was never swapped out? I just want to know how gen 1 cells got in gen 3. Not trying to be rude just asking.

I am suggesting maybe you heard it wrong from your dealer. Maybe there are not gen1 cells in there, eg just a miscommunication.
