hello guys I recently swapped the engine with 40k on my prius C everything is working perfect but today I decided to run the techstream and I see the if everything was correct and I have this codes p0351 p0352 p0353 p3190 and they are permament but no CEL just wondering why the car feels perfect no issues at all but I have this codes, the only weird thing that happened when I started the engine for the first time it was knocking like crazy but after few seconds it ran perfect any thoughts ??

If they're shown only in the 'permanent' column, that just means they were detected at one time, and the car hasn't convinced itself they're all fixed. The P035x codes indicate a problem in the IGF circuit that confirms the ignition coils have fired when they're supposed to. The circuit is shared by all four, so sometimes one problem with the circuit can even make all four show up. The P3190 is different, just means at some point the engine was down to 20% of the torque the ECM expected it to produce.

Once you're sure that you've tracked down and fixed the IGF issue, there's a section in the repair manual (more info) about how you can hurry along the process to prove out the permanent DTCs.

But it sounds from your description of the crazy knocking that there might really be an intermittent ignition issue that cleared up after a bit. Years ago I had a friend pull up in a car that sounded like the engine was a bucket of bolts about to go all over the road, and it turned out to be simple ignition-system issues.

How did the old engine come to get swapped?

ChapmanF thanks as always, the old engine had water on cylinder 1 it caused a terrible knocking and shake I cleaned the water but the noise at the piston rod was heavy, I found a 40k engine for $350 (carfax verified) and don't know why the engine didn't start right away like it should but it had a terrible misfire I would say on all 4 cylinders I thought engine transmission and internals were falling apart like your friends (engine was a bucket of bolts about to go all over the road) but after 5 secs of this terrible shake and noise the engine decided to calm down and run like a new car I don't have a CEL but I'm always curious and I used the techstream and yes this codes are in the permanent section and I try to erase them and I can't I'm just worried if I can drive this car with this codes.
