Ok have a 2006 and the dash died the other day. Have part ordered to fix it. Wife needed to go to store so figured no problem.

She got to store and it will not shut off or release the key fob from the dash. It will go into park and other than dash seems to work fine but the start/stop button is not working. How do I shut her down.

Try holding the start button down for 30 seconds, if that doesn't do it then you'll need to disconnect one side of the 12v.

That is what happened to me when my 12volt battery died. I got a new one and it never happened again. Also make sure key fob battery is brand new!

It will progress to the point of not being able to shut off till you unplug the 12 volt. It’s easy there’s a thicker black wire that plugs into the 12 volt positive post Assy. Just unclick it and pull it out. It helps to keep the little red plastic over off the 12 volt battery.

I’ve never had it get that bad and I let it go for three years though it didn’t do it every time.
