I have just purchased a 2015 Prius PHV (Japanese Import). The multimedia/navigation system appears to be a DENSO 'Excellent navi NHZD-W62G'. Apparently, it is possible to change the system language from Japanese to English using an SD Card. I would also like to load NZ maps onto it. Has anybody here done this using the 'Excellent navi NHZD-W62G'?

I have no experience with the Prius PHV model.

But this right here is one of the reasons I dislike JDMs, particularly Prius where there is so much information communicated by way of the MDF.

Perhaps you could try writing/emailing to Toyota Japan: I'm sure somebody there can read end write English.

Thanks for responses above. After scouring the web, I think the only practical solution is to replace it with an Android radio/nav.
