I just love it when the drink comes out right. It’s always very, very good. But sometimes, it’s really good, like nectar.

I never believed that wine snob sort of palate thing, until I started making espresso at home. First you learn bitter… which is darn easy. Then you learn the opposite of bitter, which is sour. (In espresso making, anyway). Over-extracted espresso is bitter. Under-extracted is sour. In-between is perfect extraction, where you can taste all the other stuff, like caramel, chocolate, raspberry, and all that. There’s a very fine band between bitter and sour where you can get all of that. It’s idiotic, is what it is, but I do it anyway because… what do you call someone who does idiotic things? Uh…

Oh no, it's used semi-frequently. Those stacks on the bed are frequently used bit collections: a regular drill set (up to 1/2"), my oldest Forsener Bit set (just up to 1", and I have a couple other sets), a pack of countersink combo bits, and a few bits and pieces, not drill related. Kinda forget what they are. It's a Canadian Tire special, purchased for $100 CDN IIRC.

For us it's not coffee every morning any more. If anything, more likely to be regular tea, as we had this morning, with a fry-up:

For coffee we have a venerable Melitta filter cone system:

The carafe doubles as our tea "pot". Recently also acquired a stainless steel, insulated french press; use that occasionally, for coffee and Chaga as well.

My humble auto abode, you can tell I don’t do my own service anymore.
We cleaned, repaired and painted, built shelving and pegboard, but haven’t decided on a floor covering.
One option is perforated tiles, you can see the moisture on the floor after tropical storm henri

South O.C. to our N.west Montana home. Having property there since the 1990s, we've already established community, & won't have to get the stink eye from folks upon seeing our California plates.

If the concrete floor is good, you can just clean the concrete and make a sanded concrete coating. This method will be much cheaper than epoxy coating.

it is 70 years old. while i would not describe it as good, it has no cracks. it is completely soaked with oil though.

The first step is they grind the floor until they reach fresh concrete. The oil doesn’t soak as deep as you think. And there probably are some cracks they’ll need to fill. There always are. You saw it in the video.

No, it’s not. My garage was 20 years old and they reached bare concrete in no time. Oil doesn’t go as deep as you think.

If they refinish they floor, they wipe it with a broom then they use that 600 pound, diamond bladed grinder.
