Will it be cheaper to replace the entire hybrid battery, or replace 19 cells?

So over the past few years I've replaced a total of 11 cells with various levels of success, the first repair giving me 15k miles, the second 100, and the most recent one 250mi before the check hybrid system issue came back. I'm thinking I may just have to replace the remaining 19 cells.

If i buy 19 cells from JWAP at $30 each = $570 (and having already spent close to $300), would it be more cost efficient to just buy a new hybrid battery? How much would that cost?

A new battery will cost you $1600 to $1800 bucks plus tax from a Toyota dealership online pricing. This is always the best option as it'll provide you with 10+ years of worry free battery service.

The problem you are facing is the 2010 has a lot of issues that can come up. Brake accumulator/actuator issues that can cost $2000+. The infamous headgasket failure. Water pump needing replacement.

Well you get the idea this will lead you down a slippery slope of spending money to keep this car running. One repair will lead to the next from this point forward. The next repair will not be far behind on a 2010

My 2010 got a head gasket at 149k right before the California emissions warranty expired. It now sits at 200,000 with no further expenses other then oil, filters and headlight builds. I totally thought this car would be a money pit but so far no other major expenses have come up.

I'm at a similar mileage on my 2010. I've changed the HV battery (warranty), brake actuator (warranty). I've just changed the water pump recently and changed the EGR valve (warranty). Cleaned the EGR circuit and Intake manifold, so hopefully I'll be good for a little while

When I first bought my prius in november 2019 the hybrid battery pack issue came on within 100 miles, and i checked the warranty and it was still within mileage but it had been a few months over 10 years so they didnt acccept it :(
