Can I remove my passenger seat and drive without issue?

    Is it okay to remove the passenger seat without causing any issues or dash lights....

    You can remove it but the SRS Airbag and the occupany sensor will throw errors and probably give you a dash light.

    Do you want to permantely leave it out, or just for cleaning?
    I'm not sure on the Prius, but it would be best to disconnect the 12V battery.
    Then you won't get the SRS light, that can be a pain to reset.

    Also, if you remove the passenger seat and then reinstall it, the occupant classification system may need to be recalibrated. There is a procedure in the repair manual, to be used with a certain set of known weights to position on the seat, if I remember right (but maybe I'm not remembering Gen 2...).

    You can remove the seat, but will need to install a resistor to act as a bypass. I swapped out my driver seat for a Recaro seat. The new seat doesn't use any of the factory sensors. Iirc, it's a 2 ohm resistor.
