Hello, I have a 2010 Prius. I recently could not get the car started and had AAA come out, they started the car, using one of those portable battery packs connected to the battery. They said the battery checked out fine. The car seems to be running fine and everything works as normal except the rear hatch. The only way to open if now is with the manual release located in the back. I've seen were several other people on the forum have had this problem after a jumpstart but have yet to find an answer to the problem. HELP!

See if you here any clicking sounds when you depress the button... If you do then the problem is mechanical, not electrical...

The battery is just over 1 year old and the fellow that jumped the car said it tested fine.

I'm not hearing anything when I depress the button, I can't help but think that something happened during the jump starting procedure that screwed up the system. I've checked for blown fuses, none found. I'm not really knowlegeable enough to trouble shoot the problem. I finally contacted the local Toyota dealer, $130 for them to diagnose the problem. Still hoping for a simple solution...

I've just come across this youtube video with technology that I can understand! This may be my short or long term solution.

Haven’t seen a battery test read “fine” on the display or print read out before.
