    Hi all,

I am getting my prius lifted and want to have a new spare tire since it's over 10 years old anyways. I don't know much about tires and was hoping someone could help me.

Would the below specs fit a 2010 with existing 17" wheels for however many miles a spare ties needs to go?

    17" Spare Tire Vredestein Bridgestone

    Porsche Cayenne

Fits Porsche Cayenne, VW Toureg and Audi Q7

    Rim Material: Steel

    Rim Width: 6 1/2 JX

    Offset: 53

    Number of Bolts: 5

    Rim Brand: Porsche

    DOT: 1303

    NEVER USED!

    PN# 4L0601027

    100% OEM

    Thank you!!

Right, yeah, please see above ;)

Whatever takes up less space in the car, I would want to go with. I am thinking that the inflated 15" spare is going to take up as much space as the deflated 17". that would be funny if I bought it and it was the same haha.

About replacing it. Still, if you’re going to go through with this:

Do you have the replacement on hand? If so why not just try it, both for fit under the hatch floor and installed. If it’s grossly different outside diameter the car’ll probably throw codes, if you test drive.

also, the description of the new tire does not include size spec. As an example: 195/65R15.

Buying a non-Toyota temp spare seems a big gamble. And, it just might be older rubber than what you’ve got now.

    That tire is HUGE.

Don’t really like flat spares as a side note.

I’m afraid you won’t even be able to get it on the hub. Bolt pattern might be different seems like TireRack pulled that spec so don’t know where to check… IMG_0014.png

I feel like a subaru wheel would be a better option but you should try to find a wheel that is exact to the wheels you have now and tire to match. Any variation of your spare from the wheels and tires you have on the car isn't recommended.

Have you tried finding the part number to your wheels and then searching auto dismantlers to see if they have it? Those places would have 1 or 2 and sell for a lower price. Or craigslist... When I had a flat in my plugin while at the grand canyon, I found a full size 15" spare and with new tire for $50 in Vegas, I borrowed a fellow Prius owner's spare tire, and we drove to vegas before heading home to LA

Don’t let others tell you no. Porsche tire is top level quality.

all 5 right? your best bet is to find a wheel that matches yours. that way when you rotate tires, you rotate in the 5th wheel. That's what I do and I just redo the tpms so it knows which wheel is now on the car.
