Your thoughts on how they look? Is one better-looking than the other?

The one on the left is possibly for Prius Prime PHEV, and the one on the right is for Prius HEV.

According to Toyota's published tire and wheel spec sheet, the left is a Maker Option wheel and cover combination that is available for both Prius HEV (Grade ZG) and PHEV (Grade Z). (Highlighted options marked with triangle icon on the left) It is a standard for the lowest trim level (Grade X) model with a steel wheel. Your translation made a mistake, it is not a "Chill Wheel", it says "Steel Wheel". The cover shown on the right is listed only for Prius HEV (Grade U) and is for an Aluminum wheel. Since they come as a Wheel and Cover combination and the one on the right of the photo is only available for the Aluminum wheel and the left one is for the Steel wheel, I am not even sure if they are interchangeable.

I think Grade U and X which come with smaller 1.8L engines are for subscription and fleet-only models. My take is that it is a down-grade option for upper trims of HEV (Grade Z and G) and for PHEV (only Grade Z available).

Note that I have no idea how US models will be equipped though.

It is so strange that none of the translators I tried was able to translate チール properly.

Why would they use an alloy 17" wheel on the Prius HEV but a steel 17" wheel on the Prius PHEV—strange.

That's because AI is missing the first letter of this word. It says スチール. The first letter is on the top line.

Yes, I just discovered that on my own as well when I looked at your spec file.

Then, these are the questions remaining:

Will Prius Prime SE in the US come with steel wheels or aluminum wheels?

Will Prius Prime SE in the US come with glossy black trim or matte black trim?

There is only one Prius PHEV trim in the Japan (PHEV Z); so, we can't really compare it to the US trims.

US model SE trim with a 17" wheel may come with the alloy wheel. The Steel wheel is standard on the GradeX in Japan which is the fleet-only lowest trim level in Japan. The alloy 17" wheel is available only for GradeU as the standard. My understanding is that this is for the subscription trim. Basically, they don't want to sell upper trims with 17" wheels, you have to special order it to downgrade to 17" wheels and can get only steel wheels, so my feeling is that no one is going to buy 17" wheels for G and Z grade Prius HEV or for Z grade PHEV.

It says "17-inch alloy wheels with wheel covers" here.

Yes, I see it. US SE trim probably comes with the same wheel for Japan Grade U HEV trim. And no steel wheel with cover.
