Android head unit google maps is slow

    Shouldn't make any difference unless you've applied certain tint films.

    If you install a higher gain antenna inside the car, I'd keep it on the dashboard near the defrost vents.

    Back when GPS systems weren't as good and many needed exterior antennas, the best location was glued to the cowl trim near the windshield wipers.

    Yes. Get the right harness for your specific JBL head and your specific model of car.

    P.S. Some locations around the world do not have good "public" GPS signals.

    Where did you get your head unit ?
    A car stereo shop likely can get you what you need.

    Which Georgia is that......the State in the US, the city in Russia .......
    or somewhere else.

    I bought it in country Georgia, there is not any city called Georgia in Russia.

    My JBL sound system (2010) has 6 speakers(as I found out) but some people told me that only under windshield speakers are for sound/voice and other 4 (at the doors) are only for bass, is it right? also, I listened front door speakers and there are little bass only but low. Is it like that what to be?
    Can anyone tell me what is good GPS antenna, I found this -
    - but it only has GPS support not GLONASS. As I learned it will be good if GPS antenna has both systems support.

    I installed the exact same model 4gb ram/4core/32gb.
    Exact same problem.
    Everything works fine, not Google Maps.
    Google Maps is super slow, freeze, and not responding.

    After 4 months I wanted to smash the screen because I bought it so I can use navigation in the first place. So I decided to do factory reset so I can remove it and sell the head unit online.

    Then a miracle happened, Google Maps works fine with the factory reset version. I tried updating it, then the old issue returns. I disable app to factory version and Google Maps work again.

    So now I drive happy everyday to work and home with my budget head unit. I update all apps and software, “except Google Maps”. Navigation only seems to work well and smooth with old version, so “I don’t update Google Maps”.

    Anyways, hello from Bangkok. I don’t even own a Prius, I drive Toyota Vios 2003. I came across your post because I try to fix issue with the same head unit we got.

    I made this account just to reply you this, so don’t expect me to be active and reply. I really hope my solution will work for you if you have not solve the issue yet. Or at least I hope my answer will help someone who is facing the same issue.
