Anything going on with this My other half was telling me that she read somewhere online I don't want to say it was here that someone put in the wrong spark plugs in a generation 3 and it caused the death rattle than they changed to the factory double iridium or some such nonsense? I haven't heard anything about this Is this even a thing? I think I have what SKS 20R11s in mine and believe that number comes to mind I don't know the four digit stock number.

I'm not sure about car engines but with my 2 stroke lawn stuff, the wrong plug will can make it run worse and better at the same time.

The dealer is telling me for my 2010 2Z FXE I'm supposed to have SC1611s I believe that's right I called the dealer I was thinking it was SX16 I was also considering the twin tip or the TT Nippon denzo plugs which I have I think in a 1z but not the two Z.

Close, the the (current) stock plug is Denso SC16HR11. Owner's Manual says Denso SC20HR11. The SC16HR11 is slightly hotter, guess Toyota decided there was a bit too much deposits happening, so revised the plug.

I got some last fall through a dealership (surprisingly the best price local to me), and the box had a Toyota part number: 90919-01275. It's the Denso plug inside though.

If you have a death rattle. Remove the antifreeze cap o ring and drive for a couple days. If your death rattle stops. You need a head gasket. Simple test.
