I bought a car at an auction with a dead 12V battery.
I didn’t want to pay 200 bucks for a new one, so I decided to look for replacement options.
I noticed a 12V 35Ah AGM battery in the HF and figured it was the right size for a Prius.

I bought the battery and installed it without any significant changes.
It was necessary to unscrew the positive 12V terminal and slightly change the top mount of the battery.

Before installation, you must charge the battery!
I've been using it for 5 months without any complaints.
NOT suitable for colder states! In cold weather, the battery releases its charge worse.

It's interesting that we've recently discussed AI generated posts showing up. First time poster, discussing purchase and installation of a HF battery (5 months ago) with "click" links to the product. Although there may be a post # requirement for links or photo attachments (?) it appears a bit sketchy to me.

    Anyway.....

I would want a HF battery in my car because.....HF has such a stellar reputation for high quality batteries?
Not wanting to be a hater, but I would never recommend a HF battery for a calculator, much less a car. In general, they are a JUNK.
I hate spending $200 on a battery, but I hate spending $250 on a tow even more.
The correct agm battery is also available at wallyworld. NAPA also has one. (and they always offer discounts, including many for employees of certain companies, AAA members, military, etc.). The correct battery doesn't require jerry rigging anything, either.
A decent quality Group 51 battery with standard terminal sizes can also be installed just by changing the clamp size and ground cable for a few bucks. As long as you're ok with no vent on the battery body. And as a bonus, the floor inserts will still fit correctly.

Can you post a photo of how well your floor inserts fall back into place with your new battery?

    Ai generated) Almost..
I did not insert any links to products, I think this is how the SEO of the forum reacts to keywords for advertising.

In a prius, a 12V battery is not so important. Because a high-voltage battery is used to start the engine.

My trunk has been disassembled because I am currently testing my development - a lithium high-voltage battery. I think I'll make a post in a couple of weeks when the prototype of the 3rd version is ready.

This is a maintenance-free battery and it does not need ventilation, as well as topping up the electrolyte or distilled water.
In any case, time will tell how long it will last.

Was hoping you would post a photo of the floor piece that covers the 12v battery, along with the rest of the floor installed. Curious how out well it aligns compared to OEM. But, if you don't plan to ever have those components installed, I suppose it doesn't really matter much.

On my book, there are 3 important thing I never go cheap:

    tire, battery and brake !
