Is remote start available and how does that work(I plan to get model with phone unlock)?
Do I just have to be near/inside the car with my fob/phone to control it?

XLE Model comes with self-opening hatch. I want to make sure that it can self-close AND lock with no human input. Meaning I press button on fob and hatch unlocks and opens fully. I press button on fob again and hatch closes and locks with no assistance.

Is there option to turn off daytime running lights? I will be camping with the car and often it helps to have the car ON and running and yet be in a blackout mode with all lights off. I want to make sure the Daytime running lights can be turned off.

Climate mode: Does the car need to be started and in this special mode to work with temperature settings set? How does that work in real world? Can I expect to be comfortable in 20F when camping (My understanding is that I can expect to draw half gallon overnight in most conditions).

The remote start feature in the app is buggy. When driving in HV mode, the car shows 34% charge while parked. Trying the remote start results in this message, "Car start not possible because it must be at more than 30% charge." So, as a work around, I drive in "Charge" mode to give it at least a 40% charge. This way, I am able to start it once. When I try a second time, I get the message, "Car start not possible because car may be remote started only two times in a row." In this climate, one 20 minute cycle is not enough, so I wish it would start at least twice. It doesn't.

Too many restrictions to be very useful.

I have an LE, not an XLE but my daytime running lights are controlled by a setting on the left stalk so they are easy to turn off.
