They Spared the Spare!

i don't think so. you can put it on the deck or behind a front seat

With 4th Gen AWD Toyota removed the spare and plunked a fair sized AWD component in the spare tire well. I’d love to have been a fly on the wall when the engineers presented this “solution” to management.

I keep my "donut" behind the driver's seat. It is kept in a sleeve made out of beach towels to avoid marking up the upholstery. The sleeve would risk blocking the battery vent if I stored the donut behind the front passenger seat.

no argument here. if you wanted to store it behind the passenger seat though, a tight bag might not block the intake.

 

If you have snow tires on a second set of wheels, then you already have four full size spares. One should fit behind the passenger seat as long as the passenger isn't too tall. And no, you won't ruin a snow tire by using it in the summer.

 

Next time research, which cars have spares. As long as people keeping buying ‘em without spares, the manufacturers keep selling them.
