Just wondering how the wrap is holding up and looking after highway driving ect? I had another car that I painted the grill black and I constantly had to touch it up because of chipping from rocks and debris hitting it. Does the wrap hold up well from rocks hitting it and chipping?

Where'd you get that done? I'm assuming you're in the Portland area? If so I might take mine over to get the same.

Can someone link me to the etsy black emblem referenced in this thread? I’m having a debate between buying and LE and and XLE, because of the same issues of wanting all black. Would love a nightshade, but none in my area.

Finally got around to dealing with this. I got a Nightshade grille from Toyota , got that ppf'd , and installed it today. Pretty easy job overall just take your time with the clips. Also swapped the chrome cowboy hat badge to a black one from the Etsy guy.

The adhesive sticker on the one I got wasn't great so I changed it out for some vhb.

Is the nightshade grille a different part # than the base model grille?

I purchased a nightshade edition grille for my SE trim vehicle and no fitment issues. PN: 53112-47370, Grille, Radiator, Lower.

Yes, it's 53102-47260 (with fog lights)

That's 1 pc all soft black plastic right? I actually bought that same one by mistake the first time ordered. This isn't the nightshade grille, I think it's for 2026 LE/SE. The nightshade is 2 pieces with a painted glossy black insert it in the middle and it's about twice the $$$.

Yes, flat black plastic, not sure I would call it soft plastic though. When I used Toyota's site and a VIN of a nightshade edition Prius, the 53112-47370 PN appeared as a match. I see now the PN you provided is a glossy black and the actual lower grill of the nightshade edition. After seeing the price difference now between the flat vs glossy, I am glad I accidentally stumbled upon the LE/SE grille (no foglight cover). At least now there are two PN's drivers have a choice to choose from and both options still better than the bright Silver Gray color grille. I did find this video helpful in taking off the front bumper.

That is the same way I ended up with that version, I searched for 2026 Nightshade. The Toyota parts site doesn't allow you to specify variants just off a vehicle search but if you notice the in the diagrams at the bottom there are several pages which show the different versions it just doesn't allow you to select them individually. "Soft plastic" is maybe too specific sorry I work with plastics every day but it is a different composition than the 2 pc versions.

Just in case anyone else wants to be an idiot like me…

I ordered the LE front bumper thinking the black part that I needed to replace the silver part on my limited would just pop out.

    It doesn’t.

Unless I’m missing something, if you want black AND want to keep the fog lights or whatever they are, only option is the Nightshade part.

Anyone have a nightshade part # that works with the Limited model? I too would love the black grille for a limited.

    Thanks

53102-47260 - works with anything except an LE or SE. It might even work with an LE or SE if you swap over the fog light covers, but I can't guarantee that.

If you wait until Black Friday, you should be able to get it for $142 at someplace like Lewis Toyota(autoparts.lewistoyota.com) or Premier Toyota(autoparts.premierautoplex.com). Both are genuine Toyota dealerships that are part of the autoparts.toyota.com network. There are other dealerships in the network that are closer to you that might have the same discount(look for 31% off or better). Free shipping for orders over $75, and possibly no sales tax applied if the dealership is in a different state than the shipping address.

    Just a reminder:

    53102-47220 - XLE/LTD
    53102-47230 - SE
    53102-47240 - XSE/XSE+
    53102-47260 - Nightshade
    53112-47370 - LE

I think you can make a higher trim grille work on an LE/SE, but maybe not the other way around. We'd need to get an LE or SE owner that's taken apart their grille to chime in. If the fog/accent light covers are molded into the grille, then you can't use an LE/SE grille on an upper trim, but you still should be able to use an upper trim grille on an LE/SE if you also buy 81481-47110(RH fog lamp cover), 81482-47110(LH fog lamp cover), and six 90167-50063 screws. The covers screw into the grille right where the fog/accent lights would go, and then the whole thing gets screwed into the bumper cover just like the original.

For an LE/SE, would painting it be out of the question?

A rattle can job might not turn out that great, but it is down low where nobody looks close, and even chips or drips might not be super noticeable.

I realize that taking it to a body shop would likely be as expensive as new parts, but you wouldn't have to mess with fog/accent light covers, with more certainty it would work, at this point in time.
