    New issue.
Looking for detailed instructions and drawings on how to disassemble the passenger side interior paneling to inspect the right hand side airbag sensor assembly.

Got the p3107 & b1620 codes. Suspect it might be the airbag sensor, connector, or wiring going to it on the passenger side. Google, priuschat & youtube have yielded nothing so far.

    Thanks for any help.

Most vulnerable wiring in that system is the one that connects to passenger seat sensor under the seat. I've seen little dogs chew those up. If you want to get under the dash, watch youtube videos on how to repair the combination meter, which requires unbolting and disconnecting passenger side air bag.

Will add wiring under the passenger seat to the list of things to check. That would be the easiest thing to do. Thanks.

But with regards to passenger side airbag. Not after that right now. Looking for the sensor assembly that would sit somewhere in the pillar between the passenger side front door and back door.

The sensor that senses a severe impact and detonates the air bag explosives is under the plastic cover down below knee level between driver and passenger seat.

I've often wondered if you were carjacked if there was a way you could apply enough force to that plastic cover by kicking with both feet at the same time in order to trigger it. I suspect not.

Could be wrong, but I believe that's the airbag ECU. It would have a bunch of connectors that would go out to sensors around the car body. & the b1620 is for the right hand side one. The actual part number for that sensor assembly is 89860-07060.
