I followed the advice of Hemi4Prius and called Katie at Toyota of Walnut Creek, (California). She was a charm to work with. I told her I wanted a package 6 non-touring and she replied right back with the figure that was quoted on this forum of $25471. There was no need for back and forth haggling. She faxed the deal to me, once I read over the numbers we confirmed the deal. I drove up this morning and within an hour and a half we drove out with our new Driftwood Pearl Prius. The price was only plus tax and DMV fees. My wife was amazed at how easy it was.

    I can't recommend them enough.

Now I just have to learn all the bells and whistled of the MFD.

    Hello,

i got mine from Concord Toyota for 25400+TTL (2008 Touring Pkg 6). In general quotes from WC Toyota was overpriced as compared to Concord Toyota. They quoted me 26200+TTL for the same touring Pkg6.

I purchased mine in Northern Virginia. 2008 package 6 for $24,800. Since I live in Washington, DC, I did not have to pay sales tax. A pretty good deal - right?

    Hello,

I got a quote from Concord Toyota for the same vehicle (Touring #6) for $26,818! The quote for a standard #6 was $25,384. My quote came from the Internet salesperson. Good thing I saw this post!

I'm getting ready to buy the Touring because it seems to feel more solid on the freeway and handles better, though it's very hard to tell from just a few test drives. What is your impression so far of your Touring?

    Thanks,

    Jen

I really enjoy driving the touring, I have had the 2005 Non touring version for 2 years and can for sure feel the difference. I personally have no regrets spending the extra $$ on the touring version.

    My $.02
    - Better drive as compared the the Non touring
    - Larger wheels. (Looks and feels better)
    - The longer spoiler. (Just there, i really don't care for it.)

That seems pretty amazing to me! Invoice for the Base model with Package 6 is $25,450, so I would really like to know how you got it for $650 below invoice! What dealer, salesman, etc.?

Well you Californians may pay more for gas per gallon but at least you can get your Prii cheap.

It is rare in my area (central TX) to get anything off MSRP unless you buy some over packaged marked up on the lot Prius.

    Nice:)

I just bought a magnetic gray package #5 '08 Prius from a dealer in northern Arizona. Total out the door price was $27,858. Does this sound like a good deal for Arizona? I priced them at all the Metro Phoenix Toyota dealers and the price I got was almost $1,000 better.

According to Edmunds.com the TMV (True Market Value) for that car in your area is $25,931 so I don't know if that was a good deal or not. The TMV is supposedly "what people in your area are paying, on average."

Does the TMV price include Tax, Title, and License fees?

Awesome!!! I'm glad Katie was able to help you! She's great, definitely not your typical salesperson!

I see you're in Lompoc - do you ever visit my neck of the woods? The reason I ask is because I saw a Prius the other day (can't recall the color though!) with a "Toyota Zone" (Walnut Creek) dealer plate - and I immediately thought "Wow, someone bought that Prius from Katie!" I saw it in the morning, on South Bay Blvd between Morro Bay and Los Osos. Maybe that was you??

Anyway, congrats and enjoy your new toy!!!

Wow how things change in a short time. We bought our Driftwood Pearl Package 6, (Peanut), for a good amount under invoice the first part of April. At that time the dealer had consistently between 80 and 90 Prii on their lot. I looked today and they had 4 (four!).

We feel very fortunate to have picked ours up when we did!

Good luck to all those searching now.
