Meanwhile, the speedo display isn't right in front of the driver, for some reason. It's definitely inboard of where I'd expect it.

After two months of delghted ownership of my '08 P I found I can turn the radio on/off by hitting the "mode" button on the steering wheel twice!

My advanced apologies if this has been posted before

on the rear wiper, you can't lift it up because the motion has been limited.

LIFT THE PLASTIC CAP AND cut off the plastic tab underneath. "CLIP" the plastic cap back on the pivot point and "voila!" you can now lift the rear wiper to clean the window.

******thanks MJ from the LA Prius club********

How much more storage space is added with the rear seats down?

I think you meant press and hold the Mode for two seconds. That's how mine operates.

Yeah, but I've always found it rude when some smokers flick their spent butts out onto other people's cars -- wondering why they can't just put them out in the ashtray provided and then empty it into the trash at their destination.

If you have a desktop computer, the motherboard battery is the same as the two in the key fob.

Hugh? Our 2004 fobs only have one in the fob. On topic of the oldie 2004's ... somewhere along the line, you newer Prius owners no longer got cassette stereos.

That would definitely depend on the battery in the computer. Different motherboards use different types (though admittedly some are far more common than others).

I suppose you could be right on this, but every desktop made in recent years appears to have the same 2032 battery.

The hatch door is not made of metal. You can't slap one of those magnet ribbons on it.

Aluminum is a metal. It just isn't ferromagnetic like steel is. The hatch (and hood) are made from Aluminum Alloy.

    To all:

I have used this post to jump start my Prius Convertible. Little known fact is, most jumper cable clamps are too wide/large to clamp onto this piece, a small fitting that sticks up about maybe a 1/2 inch out of the inside of the fuse box. The jumper cable clamps that come on most portable battery charging units are too wide; oversized. The fuse box requires miniature fingers to pop the stays to flip open the fuse box to get to the post. It is located on the drivers side under the hood slightly forward. It has a slim brass flat band sticking up that you look for to know you have the right connector fastener inside the fuse box. One jumper cable goes to the small stem sticking up, one goes to ground on the body. Another factoid is, you will become very frustrated trying to get the clamp to hook on and stay put to jump start the Prius. It will cause you to stare aimlessly into space saying, this can't be. Needle nose type jumper clamps on a battery charging unit would make the exasperation level fall significantly.

    Yes. I stand corrected :)

Should've said steel, as the body is.

That design might facilitate LH and RH drive models. BTW, the Classic combination meter is centered.
