What tire size? Am I correct that they have no rim protector?

Ridegsxr............thanks for the photos. I really like the 10-spoke wheels on the white prius, far right second row. Does anyone happen to know what wheels these are?

What do you all think of these wheels. The price sure seems right and the salesperson told me they're around 17 pounds. I like the clean look. It is the Motegi SP10, $106 at Elites-Wholesale.

I think they look great! After weeks of trying to find the "right wheels" for my car, I chose the 18 x 8 SP10's in hyperblack.

The only issue I had with these wheels were the "dual-drill/pick-a-pattern" lug holes. I would have much preferred a dedicated wheel. That said, for the price you can't go wrong especially with a wheel weight of 18.3 lbs (18" wheel) vs 24.2 lbs (17" factory wheel). :)

Hi there. I have found some 17" rims I want for my Prius III. Can anyone tell me if these are OK specs?

I've read on other threads here that the OEM 17" rims is have an offset of 50mm and the 15's have an offset of 45mm (same as Gen2) so the 38mm of these will cause them to stick out a bit.

I am also considering these same wheels, but in Hyper Black. 17 pounds for 17 inches, not bad! Now I just need to try to find them at a good price here in Canada...

I have looked all over the web and can't find 17" rims with an offset more than 42mm. Does anyone know where I can get an offset of 50mm on an after market rim?
    Thanks

madoue, try "Tirerack" and search for rims made by 57 Motorsport. And bring plenty money @ $345.00 a wheel..........

They do seem to be a bit rare. I did find some others at TireRack with the correct offset for $199 (and a bit cheaper other places). They are the Enkei SC05 and although not terribly light they are less than the OEM rims at 20.5

They also have some lighter models, but they cost quite a bit more and I just want these for some dedicated snows so, in addition to cost, the fact that they are painted also matters (mag chloride eats bare metal).

p.s. Yes I know that narrower higher profile tires will have better snow traction, but I'm willing to make that sacrifice for all the dry road winter miles as well as the appearance of the lower profile tires. I've always done just fine with all seasons but having a bit of extra stick will make my wife more comfortable since we traded an awd vehicle for this one.

If you are just using them for snow tires then a heavier wheel may not have much overall impact since it will be a short duration and you'll lose FE with the snow tires anyway. Consider the Scion Tc wheels. You can get them pretty cheap on eBay and they look similar to what's in the picture.

I did think about the Scion Tc option and certainly like the price better, but unfortunately it appears that they have a 45mm offset and I really want to stick with the 50mm offset of the package V rims.
