Now on this 2012 prius , After installing the NON-OE condenser there was only a little raise in the pressure not to bad but today was cold in SF on a hot day it will increase and inefficiency will increase to. This aftermarket condenser had two fins less per inch and only missing one row of cooling tube. Some times I see 4 fins missing per inch and 4 to 10 cooling tubes missing. Of coerce the insurance Co feels good that they are saving you the customer money RIGHT???. Here we go again. More work for me or another shop later, but will it give the body shop that installed it a bad name or will the customer pay out of his or her own bank???. Oh yea, most of NON-OE condenser have a piece of paper that say they meet or exceed oe spec. and are compliant, some BS and there is some sales REP who will tell you, that are the first person that told them this, or its can't be the condenser.
