    replace rear axle as last resort to improve alignment

    Looks like your mechanic is no good with the shims. I have moved it more than 1 degree with shims, your after only shows 1/10 of a degree change...

    It's one of those moments... spare tire and wheel.

    I drove a steel wheel spare on the front axle for 1500 miles across the country, no worries, no issues.
