I see you are in Trumbull. I am in New London and am evaluating whether to replace the battery in my 2007 Prius & looking for an independent installer I can trust.. It has 237K, but I would rather spend $2-3K to buy 1-2yrswith this car rather than buy another I am curious if whomever did your 2004 is still working. It might be worth me getting it towed there, also my brother lives in Easton.

I bought the rebuilt HV battery from an outfit in North Carolina and they drop shipped it to A1 Toyota where it was installed. The NC garage sold its business to Dorman, but their batteries have not proven as reliable as those from NC.

A1 Toyota is a good dealer to have this work done, But a new battery is more expensive than the $2000 installed cost that I paid for the rebuilt and it will get you another 10 years or so.

Hi Keith , I saw you are familiar with the techstream and hv batteries so i have some quetions , i would be grateful if you could help me. When checking the voltages of an HV battery lets say of a prius or a lexus , and u notice block 1 is problematic . How do u identify block 1 (2 modules) when u have the battery opened in front of you ?

Hi there, I read your post regarding the dreaded MFD issue in 2004 Priuses. I was wondering how you ended up resolving this issue? In the thread, they discussed a soldering fix rather than paying the dealer quoted $4000+. Can you shed some light on how you fixed this issue? I would really, really, really appreciate it. Thanks
