Always been interested in high efficiency technology and design, fuel conservation, lubrication and mechanical longevity extension, (and saving $$ if possible). At 18 installed a 4-cyl Mitsubishi Industrial Diesel into a Ford S/wagon, coupled to a MkII Jaguar 4-speed (manual) g/box and a (can't recall brand) solenoid-operated planetary overdrive unit. It was a great project, grossly underpowered but very economical, and ran for years. But that was "back in the day" when that stuff was much easier to do. And I'm out of warranty now myself...

I have a lot of ideas and a bit of knowledge, am fascinated with the Prius technology (even thought of some of the ideas myself) and keen to contribute to the forum.
