Okay boys. The oil was just clear at first. Became brown next time I checked. Problem solved!
Over 100k. I read to let the oil sit a couple of hrs. and then check.
Why do you say "death rattle" for it?
I drive about 12,000 miles a yr. The car has over 100K miles on it though.
