Ok Mike - I just reread your post from the 24th of july and you did say that you noticed mismatch in paints. Sorry about asking you again. I guess I should just overlook these superficial inperfections but they kind of bug me. My mazda had damaged front and rear bumpers that really looked bad. I drove it like that for 1.5 years. I suppose i was looking forward to a new car that looked perfect - at least no problems with the bumpers - lol. I guess getting 51 mpg I can overlook this problem especially since I'm not the only superwhite prius to have this issue or non-issues depending on your perspective. Does it bug you at all... I need to let it go and stop letting it get in the way of totally enjoying this amazing vehicle. Admittedly - I have obsessive compulsive personality - throw in some neurotic tendencies as well ... LOL

Hi phillymike - sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I'm also in the computer consulting business and like you was glad to unload my Mazda Tribute SUV 6 cylinder. Was getting like 16 miles to gallon and with always being on-site at various clients sites throughout bucks and montgomery counties the cost of feeding that beast gas every couple of days was getting way out of hand. Anyway.. I'm for the most part enjoying the car. I got it at Team. I saw your posts about not being thrilled with those guys. I had a good rep and my expectations of when the car would arrive were met. Ordered it end of may and got it July 11th. The car is so far the best car i've ever had but time will tell. Today I filled up for the first time. On this tank of gas went about 125 miles and managed to get 51mpg doing some of the pulse glide and stealth warp stuff. That was a mix of city and highway driving. Was suprised how well it did on i95 between newtown and betsy ross bridge. Set cruise control on 62 and let it manage it's fuel efficiency. Averaged like 53 out there. Haven't even cranked the pressure in the tires up yet. Anyway, you may have seen my post about color variation on superwhite vehicles between bumper color and sheet metal color. I was wondering if you could take a look at yours since it is also an '08 and let me know if your bumpers are slightly darker than the rest of the car. I would describe the bumpers as being greyish white and the body being truly superwhite. Anyway, to me it looks like 2 different shades of white. It's not terrible and I've seen worse matching as well as better matching from other auto manufacturers. Even within the toyota model lines if you look at a Corolla and a Camry in superwhite there is less noticeable matching problems between their plastic painted surfaces and metal painted surfaces than the superwhite prius. I looked at several images of superwhite priuses posted in the superwhite prius club thread. They mostly look like mine with greyish cast in the bumpers while body is pure superwhite. Anyway, let me know if your's has this going on if you wouldn't mind. In bright sunlight it is less noticeable. Thanks in advance. I'm sure will be talking more as time goes on. BTW - where do you live. I'm in the richboro/ivyland, churchville area.
