I was told by my insurance company that I could only get the DRL discount (about $32.00/year) if the DRLs were "factory installed", and not an add on system. I have a V and just leave the lights on all the time for safety. It's is a bit of a pain, because the panel lights have to be adjust to full bright during the day, and turned to the night time setting at night. This affects not only the panel light brightness, but the GPS screen as well.

You would like the uk version then. I have the led pack which comes with auto headlights. However the side affect I noticed is that the satnav and HUD etc seem to operate automatically independently from the headlights. Which is rather good.

You can adjust the brightness to daylight mode even when the headlights are on. Turn the brightness wheel all the way up, then there's a detent, then it clicks into daylight mode.

I am glad my Prius doens't have forced DRL's, if I want DRL's I will turn on the head lights. when I pull out of the garage in the mornings I don't like having the headlights blinding me by reflection off the wall.

You, along with everyone else in this group are unbelievable! I just clicked the wheel into full bright mode. Now, I'll just leave the headlights on all the time. I didn't force the wheel because that's when I break things :p

I'm apparently on a roll with my last post, so I'll try my luck again here.

    Paint the wall black? ;)
