We are running the stock 195/65/15 size for the 2010 Prius IV. See photos. Sorry about the quality, but the lighting was poor.[IMG][IMG]

Nice looking wheels! I'll have to give the new winter tires the "black" treatment like you did. Ours turned a milky white color after passing through the car wash.

    The wheels look great Mike.

I am mainly posting to thank you (and Toyofixer who posted the stock offset info for the v in another thread) for the information. I just installed a set of Michelin X-Ice Xi2's in 205/60-R16 on the wife's new v. I went with a set of Sport Edition F7's 16x7 with +40mm offset. They are a perfect fit.
I also weighed the stock 16 inch wheels/tires and they are 41.4 lbs including the wheel cover. The winter setup weighed in at 40.0 lbs even. At nearly 1.5 lbs less each maybe the mileage hit won't be too bad.
I also like the 5 spoke look.

Silver on Silver really pops! I also really like those 5 spokes. Not too flashy and the easiest to clean :)

We've just finished up our first tank of gas using the Michelin X-Ice2s. 50.8 MPG for this trip vs. 55.3 on the last trip with the stock Yokohama S33Ds. These figures aren't directly comparable due to a much different driving profile on the last tank that featured many short trips. The 36 miles after tanking up this afternoon came in at 60.2 MPG, which is closer to normal for that particular segment of the daily commute.

I use those same exact wheels for my snow tires. I think they look a little better on your color than my winter gray, though.

We have new Prius V with Michelin X ice 2s. Note that Michelin is the only winter tire with a 40k mileage guarantee. The dealer sold them at the Altimax price since he didn't have the correct size in stock.

The tires are quiet, and should give far better tread life than Blizzaks.

Mike James, Thanks for posting. I would like to order the same package from the Tirerack as you did. How Much clearance do you have between the Wheel and The Brake Calipers? Looks like the Tirerack does not recommend this Rial wheel because they are concerned about the 45 Offset being only 1-2 MM from the brake. Let us know what you see.

Mike, how much clearance is there between your brake caliper and the Rial rim? I want to order the same tire/wheel combo from the Tirerack but they are concerned about the 45 offset

There is a good 7/16~1/2" between the caliper assembly and the wheel spokes on the front.
On the rear there is more than 1 inch between the caliper assembly and the wheel spokes. The interesting thing I just noticed though is the rear discs are a good 1/2" larger diameter. I now believe a 15" rim will not fit on the rear. I will delete from first post of thread.

Okay looks like the brake sizes are
    - Front Diameter : 10.8 in. rotor
    - Rear Diameter : 11.5 in. rotor

We are two tanks and over 800 miles into these new Michelin X-Ice2 tires on the Gen III Prius. Our driving conditions are different due to the holidays, but it appears that the mileage penalty will be 2 MPG or less. Our trip mileage reported by the on board computer has exceeded 53 MPG while driving the "normal" profile of trips greater than ten miles. We will know for sure when normal commuting resumes in the first week of January, but for now we must conclude that there is no meaningful mileage penalty associated with these winter tires.
