If it has the same PWR Mode button as the Prius III, that should do the trick.

For really steep hills I put my v-5 in Power mode. I typically accelerate to get about 5-10mph over the speed limit and the people behind me off my tail. Then I back off the accelerator and take a more modest approach up the rest of the way, shaving mph off until I'm back at the speed limit by the crest of the hill.
I've noticed this will eat anywhere from 0.4 to 1.0 mpg off my average mpg when I'm in the middle of a tank, but it usually returns after a few miles back at normal pace.

Just floor the gas pedal. It doesn't matter what mode you are in. PWR, ECO or no mode selected (aka "Normal") will yield the same maximum RPM when you floor the gas pedal.

Actually the car is much more responsive in PWR Mode vs. "flooring it" and provides much greater control and range if you are situations where you want the car to apply power.

True. But, you can still climb hills in Normal or ECO mode just the same. You just have to use more pedal travel.

I keep it in eco and push the gas to keep up with traffic. No traffic, I may let it slow by 10 mph. If you are smart and slightly depress the brake on the way down you are enabling the maximum regen allowing the car to pick up most of the lost mileage in battery power.

I use mostly Normal to climb hill in my area, sometimes Power (Tiger Mount. and some other hills that graded as 15%). Took me a while to figure out CVT tranny and which mode to use

We should be more sensitive to peoples needs, those who are finding a need to use power mode to obtain adequate performance may have weak ankle syndrome. Don't pick on the physically challenged.:)
