update maps?

    Is there an update to the exiting dvd maps on the 2010 prius? the map dvd does not include a lot of locations.

    If there is an update DVD it's in the $200+ price range :mad:
    You'll have to check your map version- then check w/your local "T" dealer for the update disc.

    You likely have a Gen 6 Navi with version 8.1 disk. That's what came with my Prius when I bought it in August, 2009. Gen 6 version 12.1 will be out this fall and 11.1 is available now. Toyota has dropped the price to $169, which is still way too much IMHO. I found a Gen 6 11.1 DVD locally on Ebay for $100 so it pays to look around a bit before you plunk down your hard-earned money at the dealership. In my case the 11.1 DVD had a lot of updates and was well worth waiting a few years.
