Recommend a sun visor extension?

    My daily commute is perfectly situated so that I am always driving with the sun immediately to my left. And the sun is then shining to the left of how far my visor extends (which, as we all know, isn't that far ;-)

    I was looking at sun visor extenders and I haven't found one specifically for the C - is there one? Or has someone purchased one that you are happy with (that seems to go with the car) that you can recommend?

    I bet a set of visors from an 07-08 Yaris (has extensions) would fit. As I recall, the 09 and above Yaris had side airbags that needed the removal of the extensions (no extensions).

    I guess in retrospect, the extensions are not a good idea if /when the side airbag deploys.

    Although the likelihood of them deploying probably increases the more time I spend with the sun shining right in my eyes ;-) I'm tempted to tape an index card to the end! :)

    I have a similar problem... if you get these and they work out for you, please let me know. My next accessory purchase is going to be the C-specific front window heatshield, but after that I'd love to extend the visors.

    Yup, I'll post when I get them. Our weather just went all cloudy which means it will mostly be cloudy until.....um.....next July? ;-)

    Did any of you guys ever buy the Yaris sun visors and install in the Prius C? Wanted to make sure it fit before buying - I took off my sun visor off my C tonight and it 'looks' like it would fit - the visor is about 14" just like the one in the pic. However, the clips that attach the visor to the car is different. In the Prius C, it's just a screw - in the Yaris, it looks like a clip... Not sure if there's a hole on the other side so a screw could be put in.

    Thanks for any help!

    col127, I haven't. Mostly because the sun went away (for the most part) and I probably won't get all bothered by it again until July next year (no kidding). But yes....I'll post if I get them :)

    also waiting to hear about this all-important issue. In my case the sun comes in the morning drive above the rear-view-mirror where the windshield is painted with black dots... but the light is still blinding and it's frustrating not to have a visor extension to fill the gap.

    OK, here is an installed Yaris visor. Definitely not a "bolt on". I had to make some serious mods to the mount bracket but it turned out just fine. See pics:

    A piece of black foamcore cardboard and rubber band is working great for me. Highly recommended! Looking for matching grey plastic with good rigidity.
