Registration is now OPEN for this year's To Go Before event! In case you missed yesterday's announcement, To Go Before is the first annual national celebration for owners of the first family of hybrids. To Go Before 2013 (or, as we call it, TGB4) will be held June 14, 15, & 16 in Riverside, California. With a fun mix of activities like a Friday afternoon service project, a Friday night party, all-day Saturday activities, and a huge Prius caravan through the mountains to Lake Arrowhead on Sunday morning, we’ve got a full weekend planned.

You can register now through EventBrite on the TGB4 website: Register for TGB4 2013

You can check out the full weekend schedule here: TGB4 2013 Schedule of Events

We will have a hotel reservation page up by the end of the week, but we have already negotiated a great rate for everyone: $85/night for King or 2 Queen bed rooms. An upgrade to a suite is only an extra $10/night. More info on the host hotel here: TGB4 Hotel - Hampton Inn & Suites Riverside. You can book your room online via a link on the TGB4 Hotel page.

    Discount

Finally, I'm happy to report that I have a $30 discount coupon for PriusChat members. That brings the registration price for the weekend down from $129 to $99. The promotional code is 'PriusChat'. To enter it, just click on "Enter promotional code" on the first page of the registration form. The price should then update to $99.

What does the "Attendee Registration" fee cover?

Your Attendee Registration fee includes the following:
    • TGB4 2013 Commemorative T-Shirt, Swag Bag, Cup, Dash Plate
    • Chance to win prizes
    • Friday night kick-off party with food, beer, and wine
    • Parking at Citrus State Park
    • Saturday morning continental breakfast
    • Saturday lunch at Park
    • All Saturday activities at the park
    • Saturday night reception - food, beer, and wine
    • Sunday morning caravan to Lake Arrowhead

We have also created a "Guest Registration" option. This discounted option was created for Attendees who want to bring their spouse or significant other, 16 year old or above kids, or a buddy. It does not include the TGB4 2013 Commemorative T-Shirt, Swag Bag, Cup, Dash Plate or a chance to win prizes.

Do you have more questions about TGB4? Feel free to check out the FAQ on the TGB4 website, or feel free to ask away in this this thread.

    Hi bino -

I'm going to have to get back to you on your kids at the event. We have been thinking this would be a 16 and up event since the minimum age to participate in the Toyota Ride & Drive is 18. The main thing I'll have to give some thought to is the fact that there isn't much to do in the park for kids 12 and under. There isn't a playground on site, though there is one a couple blocks down the street in a city park.

I'm hesitant to say there would be enough to keep their attention for all of Saturday's events.

Let's get a bounce house and a bunch of NyQuil. That will keep the kids occupied. :)

Why is there a fee for a registration fee?

Rather reinventing the wheel and creating their own registration system, PriusChat is using a company called Eventbrite. (You'll notice the little orange logo just above the "quantity" drop down menu on the reg page.)

Eventbrite charges for this registration service, and PriusChat is passing some of that fee on to you.

The upside is it makes administration of things like nametags, mailings, fee collection, promotion, etc much more streamlined for Danny and the crew. Which should translate to an even smoother running event.

For reference here is Eventbrite's fee page
What does it cost to use Eventbrite?
2.5% + 99 cents per ticket, PLUS 3% credit card fee.

I am tickled pink I get to attend this event! What a cool idea. About the LA location--It needs to be someplace and at least LA area probably won't have a blizzard or tornados---just earthquakes-- Prius owners seem a little like Apple computer users--fun, well informed people who love their car/computer. At the risk of offending some parents--I'd vote for no kids under 16.

The University of Redlands is not far from the park and the hotel. I believe most of the students are over 16 ;)

I'd like to ask if I could register as attendant & pay the fee, but get the goodies shipped to me since I can't attend physically with my car in overseas?

Hi xyes, we're going to see what we can do about getting the "attendee stuff" out to people who aren't able to come but still want to get those items. I'll update you as soon as I have some more information.

    Two things :-
Can we try to get Toyota Worldwide to respond to:
AC hybrid standby generation for U.S. Prius -
    http://www2.toyota.co.jp/en/news/11/07/0719.pdf @ TGB4 gathering?
I have tried for past year to get response thru corporation, dealers, service centers....
most are unaware of the option!

    and
can we get window/bumper stickers to the effect:
" My Prius and I are on the way ...
    to TGB4 in califor_ni_A !! "
or some suitable phrase to alert other drivers on the highways.?
